Skiathos

More and more of Skiathos has given itself to tourism albeit on a much smaller, less destructive scale than some of its Greek island neighbours.

The best feature of the island has to be the beaches, most of which are sandwiched between crystal clear waters and pine-clad hillsides which plunge down to the coast.

Resorts have sprung up around many of the sandy coves, although there dozens more which haven't been touched.
